The volume (12) of the academic journal Danza e Ricerca-Laboratorio di Studi, Scritture, Visioni, published by Alma Mater Studiorum-Università di Bologna, includes a dossier on the theme of Dance and Museum, edited by Susanne Franco. Essays by Dancing Museums collaborators offer reflections and future perspectives on dance in the museum (Susanne Franco) and the impact of the pandemic on the project (Gaia Clotilde Chernetich). Further contributions provide information about the relationships that dance in the museum can foster as part of the economy of experience (Kristen Maar), explore historic events that paved the way for dance to enter into the museum (Lisa Beisswanger) and reflect on curatorial strategies of participation in visual and performing arts for community making (Enrico Bettinello). Additional case studies of the volume include the metaphorical use of dance in the museum as statue-toppling (Maris-Louise Crawley) and a perspective on the fruition of the screendance archive of one of the major screendance festivals in Italy (Letizia Gioia Monda).
