Within different working formats, artists receive tools to equip themselves to work towards a self-standing practice.

Alongside, Dansateliers (co)initiates projects and research possibilities to develop knowledge and unfold undiscovered potential for a dance artists’ practice in the world of today and broaden the scope of work opportunities.

Dialogue is key to how the organization works with its collaborators, partners and artists, working towards a world where there is space for everybody. From a reflective standpoint, the house responds to the ever-changing world and adapts to new needs, working methods and contexts. The main goal being: to create versatile grounds for a professional and multilayered artistic practice, which can manifest itself in a local, national and international context and connect and engage with a variety of audience members.

Currently Dansateliers works with associate artists Connor Schumacher, Marta & Kim and Ingrid Berger Myhre, next to dance artists who engage with the house on a temporary or project basis.

Dansateliers is a member of the European Dancehouse Network and is structurally supported by the Municipality of Rotterdam and the Performing Arts Funds.
